Here are the details for the upcoming 8static show… stolen straight from the Facebook event page! I don’t know if I have any followers up in the Philadelphia area, but if I do and you are one of them, you should totally come! :)

I’m not quite done with the NES software I’ll be bringing (shame, shame!), but I can tell you that there will probably be a Power Pad in my gear. I’ll also likely cannibalize graphic data from “Project Faxie.” Why not, right?

8static is Philadelphia’s premier monthly chip music event, started two years ago during DesignPhiladelphia. Come out and celebrate our second anniversary! Artists from around the world will be present, performing live 8-bit music and video on a variety of classic computers and consoles.

19 sprites! I should go to bed… but… wheeee!

I have some exciting news tonight: I’ve begun work on an NES homebrew game! Yeahhh! :) When I was first learning 6502 ASM, I had high hopes of making an awesome game right away. But I wasn’t quite ready for a project of that scope, and my attempts at game creation fell flat. But many months later, I am going at it again. I think I’m better prepared now, and I am really excited to be making this happen. I’ll be doing the whole game myself, including the soundtrack. Scary, scary!

I’m not quite ready to divulge too many details, but I will definitely
continue to post things like screenshots and such as I’m ready to do so.
Here’s what I’ve got so far:

•  the basic idea of the gameplay
•  three sprites ;)
•  title screen
•  game selection screen
