I/O Chip Music NYC
Post Blip (Hangover) Edition!
Monday May 23 2011
With a background in classical piano, Haeyoung Kim explores the texture of sounds in electronic music. Currently, under the name bubblyfish, she has been creating 8-bit and experimental sound works.
Hailing from Connecticut, USA, Misfitchris’ sound is a distinctive blend of the classic chip music he was weaned on and the heavy hitting house music that captivated him as a teen. Misfitchris is everything you ever wanted to hear and everything your parents warned you about.
A duo consisting of game boy synthesis, vocoder, guitar, toy keyboard, and drum pad. Its robo-circuits are controlled by Daniel Iglesia and Ursula Kwong-Brown
